We're in Michigan for the weekend, visiting Carina's uncle David and his family for the holiday weekend. Today we had a liquid lunch at the Michigan Brewing Company, a little brew pub not far from their house. The stout was fantastic, as was the Macinac Pale Ale. Carina tried the pumpkin-flavored Winter Ale, which was super-pumpkiny; but I think she preferred the India Pale Ale.

So far it's been a relaxing weekend away. The twins have really enjoyed swimming with their cousin in the pool in the backyard; and the adults have all enjoyed quiet conversation, and basking in the sun.
