My server had a small hiccup this morning. I'm not sure what happened to it, but I couldn't connect from remote. I ran home just before lunch, and connected a keyboard and monitor. The monitor showed the standard console output of lots of messages about packets that the firewall was blocking; but the keyboard wouldn't work. Ugh, I needed to physically reboot my system....

This is my 300th post. Of those, 10 are unpublished drafts (unlikely to ever be published, at this point), and one is a private post. So I guess technically this is my 289th post, which I suppose isn't quite as interesting....

I've been waiting to upgrade skippy.net until the 1.5.1 release of WordPress, but I just couldn't wait. The new features are too yummy to wait any longer! There are, of course, still a few warts, and the 1.5.1 release is due shortly. I'll probably wait until then to upgrade all the other blogs I host....

I received a suspicious looking email tonight. It was from someone I didn't know using a hotmail account. The display name (the bit between the quotes) was wildly different from the email address (which isn't too uncommon for hotmail accounts), and it was signed by a different pair of names altogether. It had the suspicious subject line "..."....
