cat2email version 2.1 is now available. This version no longer sends notifications when you edit a post. It also allows you to assign a recipient to categories with no posts yet -- version 2.0 would not let you do this (Thanks to Cory for the fix!).

It's been proposed that WordPress drop RSS 0.92 and RDF as supported feed formats. This has caused a flurry of posts to the hackers mailing list, and no shortage of blog posts about it....
Jan 15, 2006: Plugin: Moderate Authors
WordPress allows users to create and save draft posts, which can then be published by a moderator or admin. This process works well for "guest" authors, as well as for controlled environments (like schools) where all content must be reviewed and approved. An interesting quirk, though, is that once the item is published, the original author can comment on it without restriction, regardless of any comment moderation settings that might be in effect....

I like making and releasing plugins for WordPress. It's a fun, and rewarding, hobby. I'm not always thrilled with the support requirements, but I feel it's important to provide at least some help for my code....
