Style testing

I’m so envious of all the cool kids with their cool blogs that I just had to jump on board.

I decided that my phpBB forum/blog thingie was too much effort for too little benefit. The templating was complicated, and tightly interwoven with the PHP code itself. My attempts at replacing the table-based layout with a CSS-based layout were futile (mostly because I suck at CSS). And the features I really wanted in a blog – trackbacks, pingbacks, ATOM, RSS syndication – required me to hack them in myself. Why re-invent the wheel, when I can jump on board WordPress?

So now I get the joy of migrating all my old posts into WordPress. Fun fun.
